My annual December trip down to the area between Barnetby and Immingham was not as fruitful as previous years. Train strikes, which have continued throughout the year, were stepped up in December as a resolution seemed further away than ever. With a skeleton passenger timetable running and only a handful of freights operating I wasn't hopeful of much so I was pleased to go home mid-afternoon with a couple of shots in the bag.
