I finally had a chance to shoot the new and semi-regular flow of spent ballast from Carlisle Yard to Pinnox (Longport) with a single Grid in charge. It's not the easiest of workings to shoot as it can be looped many times on it's journey south but not all these can be taken so predictability is not a word associated with 6K30. Today though, having learned that 56094 would be in charge on its own, I dashed north to bag a shot early. The ground shakes at Wreay as the Colas machine thunders south with the attractive consist.
