JL - 10.8.23 60087 6Z66 Shap Harrisons - Tuebrook, Dillicar Common

The hero of the day! GBRf's 60087 was quite the hero today rescuing celebrity stablemate 66789 which failed in the early hours at Lancaster on the Mossend - Hams Hall. It ditched it's stone train at Harrisons, Shap and headed south to assist. Taking the stricken working (which subsequently delayed the sleeper) as far as Crewe where a working 66 took over. Then running light engine back up to Shap to collect the diagram which usual works in and out of Cumbria in the hours of darkness. I could resist the opportunity to phot what would ordinarily be a nocturnal diagram, especially given the clarity of the conditions. Very rare for Summer in the fells. In beautiful Summer conditions and running under a VSTP path as 6Z66 Tug 087 glides across Dillicar Common around 11 hours later than it would ordinarily pass through.
