With heavy overnight snows and clear skies forecast this early March day promised the classic combination of sun and snow so photographers were out in force throughout the county. The early cloud drifted south on ever strengthening winds and Cumbria shivered in Winter scenes. The early cloud was just moving away as 88007 thundered north with 4S43 Daventry - Mossend Tesco Express which happily today was loaded right up to the loco. At this spot, from the air, you can see how close the river Lune, WCML and M6 are to each other.
