JL - 10.10.24 66424 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Nr Southwaite

A change in the weather put an end to low pressure fronts off the Atlantic and instead brought high pressure from the north. This meant a rapid drop in temperatures but a beautifully gin clear atmosphere for the first time in a while and I was determined to make the most of it. Having been up on the Tyne Valley line for the RHTT and re-routed gypsum I head back across to the WCML for K05 in it's usual Autumnal WC path. I grabbed my first shot at Wreay and decided to give chase to Dilliacr in the Lune Gorge when I saw the loco / consist combination which was very easy on the eye. A clean 66424 glides south in stunning Autumn conditions with 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe engineers.
