9.7.07 60029 6L12 Appleby - Carlisle, Quarry Cutting

During a mid-summer two week engineering blockade of the line EWS owned 60029 'Clitheroe Castle' idles in the sunshine just north of Kirkby Stephen whilst waiting patiently to enter the possession site with 6L12 Appleby -Carlisle (a lengthy ballast train which comprised of two more locos of the same class). The edge of Mallerstang fell looms high in the distance.
