5.12.14 - 90028 6S02 Warrington RMT - Shieldmuir, Greenholme

Is this 2014 or the mid 90s? A class 90 on a rake 4-wheel cargo wagons heading north on the WCML could be anytime over a 20 year period really. The additional northbound Christmas mail service has been running over 100mins early everyday since it started and this gives the photographer a chance of a shot on the climb to Shap just before the sun drops behind the fells. With that in mind, I've been thinking about a silhouette as this spot all week. This is one of the few occasions when more cloud in Cumbria would be welcomed but the result this evening was pleasant enough. 90028 glides through Greenholme with 6S02 Warrington RMT - Shieldmuir on a day when interesting rail traffic in Cumbria was at an all time low.
