5.11.12 - 66431 & 66301, 4S43 Rugby - Mossend, Docker - West Coast Main Line (north to south)
First day back on the job! Monday 5th Nov 2012 saw the re-start of DRS operation of the Tesco Express having won back the contract from DBS. The Carlisle based outfit were obvioulsy keen that nothing went wrong on the first day and so two 66s were provided, perhaps this is also to do with acceleration / deceleration performance. I was heading down to Manchester for a lunchtime meeting and had the chance to get a record shot at Docker. Thick fog covered the Pennines and Howgills and the clouds didn't break until I was as far south as Grayrigg. Docker looked like the best bet and just a few minutes after I arrived I heard 66431 and 66301 climbing up from Oxenholme. Running bang on time the pair cross Docker viaduct with 4S43 Rugby - Mossend.
