This shot brings back some interesting memories. Not that we knew it at the time, but the clouds that you can see advancing from the north held the heaviest snowfall that we'd seen for over a decade. That night the S&C was transformed into a winter wonderland and the snow stayed for a long time! Just before I headed home to 'batten down the hatches' I dashed north to catch Colas 66842 on 6J37 Carlisle - Chirk logs at a new location for me, Eden Lacy House.
