20.11.13 - 37611 & 37605 6C27 Carlisle - Shap, Greenholme - West Coast Main Line (north to south)
Thunder in the Fells 3: After missing out it's booked loops on the journey south the 6C27 STP job today ran around and left Tebay loop in the time of it's usual path (11.50am) following the northbound TPE. As the darkness gathers and the fells above Tebay descend into blackness the DRS pair shake the gorund as they power through Greenholme on the last leg of their short Carlisle to Shap Quarry working. There's a certain something about this shot which I really enjoy, quite striking. This picture was publsihed in Rail Express in early 2014.
