17.12.08 66554 6E73 Chalmerston - West Burton, Helwith Bridge

There had been clear skies forecast today and I headed south which seemed like the best option for decent light. Luckily there was a single long band of clear sky strecthing from west to east around Settle and Langcliffe and that allowed for photography with the very unusual combination of sun and dark clouds. In these stunning conditions, 66554 is seen leaving the level stretch of line at Helwith bridge (an old glacial lake) to continue its descent to Settle Junc with 6E73 Chalmerston - Drax loaded FHH coal diagram.
