17.10.13 - 56087 6J37 Carlisle - Chirk, Greenholme - West Coast Main Line (north to south)
As usual the main event of the day was the log train. I wanted a couple of shots so I opted for a first location with easy access to the M6. Greenholme was the ideal choice and despite some cloud hanging around for a long time beforehand everything cleared out minutes before 6J37 was due. 56087 did the honours today and this lovely image was captured as the Carlisle - Chirk diagram worked downgrade running bang in time. Of the two shots of this train today this is by far my favourite and a big improvement on my other effort of 6J37 at this spot.
